Vincent Joseph Kaydahzinne
December 23, 1952 — December 25, 2017
The late Vincent Kaydahzinne is the younger brother of Freddie and was a well-known musician and an acclaimed artist. He was born and raised in Mescalero, NM and was very close with his grandmother, Helen Chatto.
As a sculptor, Vincent won the Best of Show at the 2009 Santa Fe Indian Market. Pink and white alabaster was his favorite stone. Vincent said in a 2013 article by Dennis J. Carroll, “Alabaster is sacred to me. It’s like the stone was just waiting for millions of years for me to come along.”
A generous donor gifted Ndé Bikéeyá (with) one of Vincent’s pink and white alabaster sculptures.
